It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Mr. Krishnan Raman Natarajan, one of the senior member of Kent Malayalee Association, The Chairman of Kent Hindu Samajam, and Kent Ayyappa Temple Trust on Tuesday, 28th January 2020. He had been a leading light and valued member of the local community in Kent and will be missed thoroughly. The funeral service and cremation of Mr Krishnan Raman Natarajan (85) of Boundary Road, Chatham, Kent, ME4 6TU, who passed away on 28th January 2020, will take place on Monday, 10th February 2020.
Religious Rituals / Viewing Arrangements
Please join the family in honouring his life. Community members, friends and family who wish to pay their last respects prior to cremation may do so at the Grand Quee Suite*, Lordswood Leisure Centre, North Dane Way, Lordswood, Chatham, Kent, ME5 8YE from 12:00pm to 1:00pm on Monday, 10th February 2020.
Cremation will take place at 2:00 pm on Monday, 10th February 2020 at Medway Crematorium, Robin Hood Lane, Blue Bell Hill, Chatham, Kent, ME5 9QU.
Wake / Lunch After the ceremony, the family invites everybody to attend the wake / lunch at 3:00 pm at the Grand Quee Suite*, Lordswood Leisure Centre, North Dane Way, Lordswood, Chatham, Kent ME5 8YE.
*Entry to the Grand Quee Suite – Please do not enter through the main reception at the Lordswood Leisure Centre. Entry is via the car park into the garden of the Grand Quee Suite (Signage will be placed at the entrance of the garden).
No Flowers please – The family would prefer that donations are made to Macmillan Cancer Support in his memory instead of floral tributes; there will be a donation box in the hall where donations can be placed.
Mr. Krishnan Natarajan, one of the senior member of Kent Malayalee Association, The Chairman of Kent Hindu Samajam, and Kent Ayyappa Temple Trust. Born in Vakkom in Thiruvananthapuram District, Kerala State, India, Mr.Natarajan was one of the first Malayalees to settle in Chatham, Kent. Mr. Natarajan is survived by his beloved wife Mrs.Devaki Natarajan, with 4 children and 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He is well-known within the Malayalee community in Kent & Medway and was an active participant in all community-related activities. Kent Hindu Samajam, Kent Ayyappa Temple Trust and Kent Malayalee Association pay tribute.
There are no words to express our sorrow for the loss of our beloved uncle, may all of us find comfort in the loving memories uncle shared while he was alive. Our Natarajan uncle will remain in our hearts forever.

Maha Shivarathri Celebrations 2015
This year's Kent Hindu Samajam traditional, Auspicious Maha Shivarathri Celebrations will be held from 6:00 PM (18:00 Hrs) on Tuesday, 17th February 2015 to 6:00 AM on Wednesday, 18th February 2015 at Medway Hindu Mandir, 361 Canterbury Street, Gillingham, Kent, ME7 5XS.
Kent Hindu Samajam requests its members, supporters all devotees to attend this special event and receive the Divine blessings of Lord Shiva. This event is jointly hosted by Kent Hindu Samajam and Medway Hindu Mandir.
This event is an overnight programmes of 12 hrs of Abishek, Bhajans, Dance Performances & Aartis. The Medway Hindu Mandir Temple will be open all night and Devotees can perform Abhishek with their own hands all night.
Kent Hindu Samajam is also seeking Bhajan singers and dancers to perform cultural / ritual items during the event.
